The programme
In 8 practice days you build your own AI solution — yourself.
In a live-guided group you work over 8 weeks on an idea of your own — in a secure environment, with your own data. You learn to develop, evaluate and decide together with the AI. In the end you judge for yourself what AI can do in your company — because you have experienced it yourself.

What to expect
You work remotely on your own AI project at your PC, straight in the browser. We guide you along the way — the doing and deciding are yours, together with the AI. The list of practice days below gives you a rough sense of the agenda; in the end it follows your own undertaking and your own pace. Each day opens with a short introduction to a specific topic, matched to where your project currently stands.
In an individual kick-off conversation beforehand, we set the content and goals of your personal project and you receive an introduction to the working environment provided.
-
Your idea+
You present your idea to the AI and think through together which functions and processes it needs and what should come out at the end. The AI helps with research and discussion, documents everything and produces a first functional concept of your project. -
Architecture+
You discuss and finalise the architecture of your project. The AI supports you on data strategy, data usage and technical constraints. Which degree of automation is the right one, and when? Dive deep and let the AI guide you through the topic. -
Decision+
Final discussion and evaluation of the functional design and technical architecture of your project — with all the pros and cons, and a check of whether it meets ethical or legal requirements. -
Prototype+
You have the AI build the prototype — in several rounds, depending on your undertaking, until it runs and your idea becomes visible for the first time -
Testing+
Put it through its paces: you test, clear out errors and optimise the prototype step by step -
Perfection+
From prototype to goal: you develop the solution further and refine it until it meets your standard -
Outlook+
A look ahead: which features, extensions and channels are still possible — the future landscape of your solution -
Wrap-up+
A look back at your journey and the key lessons learned — and how things go on concretely with your solution, server* and its value in your world

Who guides you
Michael Maiyour guide
Family-run mid-sized businesses and manufacturing industry are my home. For 20 years I have guided them through digitalisation, change and sustainable value creation. I stay with it until ideas become real results.
From my own projects I keep finding the same thing: it is not the will that is missing, nor the ability — it is depth. In day-to-day business it simply gets lost. That is a shame, because it is exactly this depth that AI initiatives in a company need in order to truly hold. Whoever penetrates one thing gains the view of the whole, and it is exactly this assured command that AIEE makes learnable.
AI is an exceptionally powerful tool. But to truly use it takes your own experience — and less external training. That is why I created AIEE: not a lecture, but real hands-on experience on a project of your own, from which a robust judgement of your own emerges.
My aim is clear: mid-sized businesses should be put in a position to use the enormous potential of AI to their advantage. To create access — and to enable companies and their management to deploy AI profitably and productively. Because in the end a good AI application is a well-considered process improvement: profitable, cleanly prepared and close to the people who work with it.
What I pass on here I have lived through myself: in a few months I built my own apps, agents and automations self-taught — hand in hand with AI — and set up my own infrastructure. It thrills me every day, and it is exactly this enthusiasm I pass on to you in AIEE. I look forward to it.

*AI server in the sense of your own agent server with direct use of AI and full rights on that server — an individual server solution for this programme and your own project, independent of your private and professional setups. The server is hosted in Germany and fully provided. The AI access — in the sense of Claude Code — is set up as your personal participant seat on that server: you join by invitation and sign in with your own login, activated together at kickoff. On request we set up a dedicated access address for it, fully separate from your existing accounts.
Common questions
What will I learn?+
You learn to work with an AI as a team — on a real project of your own, in a secured environment, without touching your professional or private systems. Together you think ideas through, structure them and write them up into a specification. You weigh paths and approaches and decide together what the first build looks like and where it goes from there.
What you take away in the end:
- Real experience working alongside an AI — the key competence of the future.
- The grounded ability to judge and steer AI applications yourself — instead of believing it.
- A reliable sense of the strengths and weaknesses of AI solutions.
- Conscious handling of your data — what leaves the server, where to, and how you take responsibility for it.
- Working with AI, delegating and parallelising — handling files, storage and context safely.
Who is this programme for?+
For owners and managing directors who set the direction of their company, for managers who steer their division or their team — regardless of company size: on this topic, you want to be at the wheel yourself.
Because AI is a decision you don't simply delegate. Those who understand it, can judge it and shape it themselves stay independent — building their own solutions, rolling them out in their own house, keeping the reins in hand. That is exactly the sovereignty we give you: the toolkit to lead AI on your own terms.
What data do I work with, and what about data protection?+
Your working environment sits in Germany: that is where your files live and where your agents run. The AI itself deliberately runs at a US provider; no language model of our own runs on the German server. So the environment and your data stay in Germany, while the model calls go to the US. We say so openly — it is the reality you will be deciding in back at the company as well.
Which data you use is your decision — business, personal or made-up. You run a company; you are equipped to make this call, legally included, and we won't patronise you about it. Together with your AI you analyse the flow and use of data in your project and decide deliberately, building block by building block, for or against — with all the consequences we lay out for you beforehand.
That is precisely the competence at stake here: making that decision consciously, instead of working around it.
What prior knowledge do I need?+
You don't need to program — and technical background is not a prerequisite. What matters is creativity, communication and openness towards the technology: you bring your ideas and your judgement, the AI handles the technical side.
Where something is missing, we fill the gap — individually and hands-on, in at the deep end: you work directly with the AI, and we're right beside you.
How much time and effort should I plan for?+
As a guide, plan for about one day a week. You work remotely in a live session on your project. In between you can keep working on your own project, or let the AI keep working.
How much you invest between sessions on top of that depends on your intensity, your technical affinity and your prior knowledge.
Is there a fixed curriculum?+
No — and that is deliberate. There is no fixed curriculum, no script and no on-demand video course for you to work through alone. There is no ready-made learning package that runs the same for everyone.
The core is working together in real time: we sit together live and develop the steps session by session on your own project — not you alone in front of prepared material. Your undertaking sets the way; what we do follows wherever it leads you. The project is the learning, not some body of material that stands in front of it.
The AI is a tool you operate yourself — not our teaching material. What makes the programme is the shared live work on your undertaking and the experience standing at your side while you do it.
Are there exams, grades or mandatory material?+
No. We test nothing, grade nothing and monitor no learning progress. There is no mandatory material you'd have to pass, no lessons to tick off and no test at the end.
You work on your own undertaking, and we work alongside — as a partner at your side, not an examiner above you. What you take away shows in your project itself, not in a grade.
What if I break something?+
Your work is backed up continuously in the background. If you take it apart, we bring it back. Read that as an explicit invitation: play it safe here and you'll learn very little.
Can this run on EU-hosted AI?+
Optionally and on request, using EU-hosted AI is possible. Beyond cost, though, it noticeably narrows the feature set and the experience.
We deliberately recommend using US AI in an independent test environment: it is exactly this direct, self-owned engagement with a real AI that is a learning effect at stake here.
For companies under stricter obligations, the server environment can additionally be integrated into your own cloud solution in the "Individual" option. Talk to us.
What happens after the project?+
The environment and AI access run for three months, with the costs fully covered by us. After that you can keep the server running with us quarterly and continue your projects on your own.
Am I tied to certain tools or platforms afterwards?+
No, quite the opposite. Ready-made tools for automation, AI agents or AI platforms are always just narrow frames for one particular workflow, and they keep you dependent even when you no longer need them.
Here you build your own instead: after the programme you create any workflow yourself, and the effort is barely greater. Build it yourself instead of clicking a template, no platform lock-in, real teamwork with an AI. Full individuality, full independence, exactly what you need, nothing more and nothing less.
And the framework topics — governance, costs, the EU AI Act?+
The decisive framework topics come up where they become concrete on your project: AI governance, AI cost control and the EU AI Act. Not a dry legal lecture, but short introductions exactly where the question arises in your own undertaking.
That way you take away a feel for what matters on these topics — and when to look more closely or seek advice back at the company.
Do I get a certificate?+
You receive a certified confirmation of participation, verifiable online: via a code anyone can check at any time that you completed the programme and what it covered.
You can verify a confirmation on our verification page cert.aiee.eu — enter the code, confirm authenticity.
Is the programme eligible for public funding?+
In principle, yes. The group formats are built the way public training subsidies usually require: scheduled dates, a fixed number of hours, documented content and a confirmation of participation at the end.
Whether funding applies in your case depends on the specific scheme and your situation — for instance KOMPASS for solo self-employed people in Germany, or the Skills Schecks in Austria. Requirements differ by country, funding body and point in time, and budgets are usually capped.
One thing to note: funding applications normally have to be filed and approved before you book. So talk to us early — we'll tell you frankly what looks feasible and provide the documents the funding body needs from us.
